This is everyone’s primary question when they’re starting out with JV’s…

“Where Do I Start?”

“And What’s the PROCESS?”

Here it is:

———————————————————————

The first thing you need to do is nail down a solid offer. Why should someone partner with you?

Often, this involves hiring a copywriter and running a small ad campaign so that you can establish an effective conversion rate. Because 9/10 times, what your partners will want is to maintain their credibility while making guaranteed cash from a proven seller.

Once you have some numbers to work with, then you want to position your offer so that it’s unbeatable. This might mean that you’ll have to give up most of your profits, and it also might mean that you’ll have to add some more value to your product so that you can price it HIGHER.

(JV partners and Super-Affiliates will always head towards where the money is…)

Once it’s selling consistently on a small scale, and once you’ve put together a KILLER offer, then you need to build all of the mailings and other marketing materials in ADVANCE.

The more stuff you can provide for your partners - the BETTER.

(Just take a look at how this guy words his “JV” page )

That’s the mindset in the Internet Marketing world, and people get slammed with JV proposals all day long. Make it as easy as possible for them to be LAZY.

Now, once you’ve got everything ready to go, what you’re going to do is approach at least 100 prospects that have a lot of marketing reach with a SHORT proposal that piques their interest. Be personal, be direct, and keep it very brief for your first contact.

(I use the Internet Success Spider to do this very quickly. You can check out my tutorial video of how it works on YouTube)

You’ll get many “No’s”, a few “Send me more info” responses, and the odd “Yes”.

Follow up persistnely, and secure as many JV’s as possible. Secure a mailing date to kick things off with, and have viral ebooks, autoresponder plugs, articles and banners that they can put up as well to PERPETUATE their earnings (and yours).

It only takes a FEW decent-sized JV’s to really start things up, and one joint-venture will typically lead to a BUNCH of others - especially in the marketing niche.

So in summary, this is how you pull off a successful JV campaign:
—————————————————————-

  1. Build the ultimate offer (proven seller, stats, unbeatable compensation, other incentives)
  2. Prepare everything in advance (mailings, viral resources, articles, autoresponders, etc.)
  3. Approach tons of partners that have substantial reach with a simple, short mini-proposal, asking if they’d like a copy of your course to review
  4. Follow up like crazy. Be persistent
  5. 5. Nail down mailing dates and establish long-term traffic streams
  6. Flex the backend. Have upsells and additional offers ready to go, and over deliver in every way possible. Impress the hell out of your list.
  7. Repeat steps 3-6

That’s what has worked for me.

It varies industry to industry, but those are the fundamentals.
