Overview:
Title:
How
to Write Hypnotic Joint Venture Proposals (Standard
Edition, 52 pages)
Website
Location: How
to Write Hypnotic Joint Venture Proposals >>
Author:
Joe Vitale (with Larry Dotson)
Price:
$37.00 USD
Summary:
Hypnotic JV Proposals is basically a compilation of proposal
templates that one can use for contacting potential JV partners.
The book is certainly written for beginners that are still trying
to learn about the "concept" of joint venturing. It
focuses heavily on using hypnotic (compelling) copy within your
proposals - something that in reality has mixed results
at best.
Hypnotic
JV Proposals is more of a copywriting guide than it is for writing
JV proposals. While it is useful to read some of Joe's "swipefile"
from successful Joint Ventures, it never really diverts from
the typical "internet marketing" style of copy (or
market).
This
would be a good resource for anyone involved in publishing marketing
& "success" ebooks online, but would be somewhat
impractical for anyone in most other markets, especially offline.

Review...
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Joe
Vitale and Larry Dotson have created a series of books together
around "Hypnotic" marketing, this being one of them.
Hypnotic
JV Proposals is a very "to-the-point" book, and it
very briefly addresses the concept of joint ventures, what to
consider before writing a proposal, and how to negotiate the
JV - without going into too much detail or specific examples.
That
said, it's a solid introduction to JVs for someone that
is generally new to business, expecially online business.
Hypnotic
JV Proposals In a Nutshell
As
I mentioned previously, the book does contain a few pages (literally)
that deal with how to set up a JV, but 90% of the book is a
compilation of proposal letters that you can use for most online
business JV's.
For
example, it even includes proposals for things such as co-hosting
contests, trading links and swapping ads. (See all 36 templates
here)
All
36 proposal templates are meant specifically for the "internet
marketing" world, and each one is very similar in format,
save for a few differences in terms of the "request"
(ie. actual proposal/question).
The
5 bonuses are, again, largely meant to be an introductory course
for e-biz beginners. There are some nuggets (which I've outlined
below), but they wouldn't really be an asset to an experienced
marketer, copywriter or businessperson.
In
a nutshell, Hypnotic Joint Venture Proposals is simply a swipefile
of "compelling" proposal templates to be used for
creating JVs in the "ebook/internet marketing" industry
- and that's it.
Key
Features (Gold Nuggets)
Why
Joint Ventures are so effective. Joe
Vitale starts off the book with a very powerful introduction
to why the "sharing" concept of JV's is so powerful.
It clearly outlines why so many online entrepreneurs can quickly
rise to "fame and fortune" because of generosity
- instead of animosity.
Things
you should do before you write up the proposal. While
short, this "to-the-point" chapter actually describes
some of the more advanced persuasion techniques that I've used
myself in larger deals, with offline business. This "nugget"
is a very sound piece of advice that would benefit both the
"newbies" and a great majority of already-successful
entrepreneurs (this tactic fits both online and offline very
well).
How
to Negotiate after they answer your JV proposal. Again,
while this is really only a page or two of "bullet points"
in the book, the advice is sound and proven, and I can personally
verify that based on my own experiences.
Solid
Swipefile of COPY to use for salesletters, endorsements, etc.
The
majority of the book (including 3 of the 5 bonuses) is basically
a big swipefile of effective copywriting from an experienced
ad writer, Joe Vitale.
As I mentioned before, the "hypnotic proposals" themselves
really aren't that effective for contacting potential partners
(trust me, I tested them thoroughly just to make sure), but
the way they're written IS effective for web copy and
email endorsements - especially the actual endorsment
letters that Joe includes from previous, real-life JV's.
Bonus
#3 (Buying Trances): The Real Secret to Hypnotic Selling.
This
little "side story" is actually a very effective lesson
in writing response-generating ad copy for anything in business.
This little "bonus" has actually been something that
I've referred to mentally for several months, and I think the
principle behind the "story" has actually affected
my own web copy and sales letters quite positively. Again, it
only makes up a few pages of the book, but it's a worthy read.
The
Verdict:
Hypnotic
Joint Venture Proposals is a solid introduction to JV marketing
for "newbie" marketers that want to sell info-products
online - but the "proposal templates" themselves shouldn't
be used "as is".
(You'd
be lucky to get past the SPAM filters - let alone a response...)
Instead,
I'd recommend that you learn the principle of using hypnotic
marketing that Dr. Vitale gets into - but do it more subtly.
Remember
that it's the rapport that you have with your prospect
and the strength and appeal of your offer that
is going to generate a positive response from them.
However,
I would actually recommend the
book to anyone looking to improve their copywriting skills
- solely for the reason that it includes a solid swipefile of
proven COPY to use for endorsements and sales letters.
In
conclusion, it's worth the 37.00 to those that are looking to
sell "internet marketing" and "make money"
ebooks/courses, as it includes solid conceptual information,
proven endorsement mailings and advanced copywriting tips.
